Welcome to Ms. Corcoran’s classroom!
Our Autism Class is a warm, supportive space for six pupils. We use a neuroaffirming approach, focusing on each child’s strengths. There are lots of opportunities for self regulation and our sensory room is attached to our classroom enabling pupils to use it whenever they need quiet time, movement or calming activities. We also include plenty of messy play and sensory play to suit all learners.
Lots of learning takes place outside the classroom too and our pupils enjoy regular trips to the sensory garden, the playground and play centre and they also take part in gymnastics and horse riding. Our goal is to help every child feel safe, supported and able to learn in the way that suits them best.
