We have 28 wonderful pupils in 5th class this year. Our enthusiastic and dedicated staff include Ms. McHale, class teacher, Mr. Cunningham and Ms. Sammon, SET teachers and Barbara, SNA. This year many children in our class will be making their Confirmation. 5th class engage in all areas of the curriculum to further build on their strengths, skills and talents. On Mondays we have Jamie teach us ukulele. On Wednesdays we take part in coding activities as part of the digital curriculum and take part in Spanish lessons with Maria. We engage in varied lessons and activities from singing in Irish and problem solving in Maths to writing workshops in English and discussing important topics in SPHE. We also enjoy project work in Geography, History and Science. The children build confidence through performance and expression in subjects such as art and music while staying active through P.E. lessons. Homework is assigned Monday to Thursday to consolidate all that we learn in class. Each day brings a new opportunity to learn, explore and grow in 5th class.
