There are 24 students in Ms.Armstrong’s second class this year. Ms.Irwin is our SET teacher who supports and helps us everyday. It is a very special year for us as we make our First Holy Communion this year. In second class we build on what we learned in first class and take on exciting new challenges every day. Each week second class focuses on literacy, numeracy, Irish and exploring the wonders of Science, Geography and History.We also practice teamwork and creativity through art, music, drama and SPHE. There is an emphasis on developing critical thinking skills and problem solving abilities. On Wednesdays we have a music lesson with Brian from Ceol na nÓg. On Thursdays we have P.E and we wear our tracksuit to school on that day and we also wear our tracksuit on Fridays. We use the IPADs and Chrome Books to explore the Digital Curriculum. We get homework Monday to Thursday which takes us about 30 minutes to complete. Every day is an adventure in learning — and we can’t wait to see what we’ll discover next!
